STAAR Results Available Online Beginning June 24

Update: According to a news release from the Texas Education Association, "There has been an adjustment to the release date of the May 2022 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) grades 3–8 student results in the TexasAssessment.gov family and analytic portals. Results are now tentatively scheduled to be available next week in the family and analytic portals."

The Texas Education Agency has released the 2022 STAAR Test Scores. Parents and students can access the results by logging into Castleberry ISD’s Skyward Family Access beginning Friday, June 24, 2022. Castleberry ISD administrators encourage parents to log in and learn more about their child’s progress beginning Friday.

The STAAR is one of many ways used to measure student learning and progression over the course of a year. Teachers frequently use STAAR results date, along with other information, to co-create learning plans with families and district instructional leaders to jumpstart learning next year.

After logging into Skyward Family Access, parents will see an icon labeled District Links. From there, click TEA Assessment. This will take parents directly to their child’s STAAR results, which will include detailed breakdowns in each subject that identify strengths as well as areas where they may need additional support.

Parents have previously shared that seeing which questions their child answered incorrectly has been the most useful. The TEA website provides easy-to-use at home resources for parents to use the remainder of the summer to focus on the skills their child needs the most support.

Information for parents to learn more about their child’s STAAR performance and how to provide additional support at home is available on the TEA website

TEA has redesigned the Confidential Student Report and given it a new name, the STAAR Report Card. The redesign has significant changes with the goal of providing a more user-friendly report on student progress.

The new STAAR Report Card includes:

  • growth and progress information

  • a recommended summer reading list

  • the learner's Lexile levels and trend data resources for parents in both English and Spanish

  • possible questions for parents to ask school staff

Detailed information about the new STAAR Report Card is available on the TEA website.
