Dewey Taliaferro, Board President

portrait photo of Kenneth Romo, School Board Vice PresidentMr. Taliaferro has served on the Castleberry Board of Education since 2023 and previously served on the Board from 2015-2021. 
Mr. Taliaferro is the branch manager of a nationwide construction subcontractor. Dewey and his wife Melisa have two grown children.
Mr. Taliaferro graduated from Castleberry in 1986. He is the second of three generations of Castleberry graduates. He has volunteered on Castleberry PTO's , SBDM committees. DEIC, Stadium Conversion Committee, Athletic Booster Club, and Band Booster Club. He most recently served again on DEIC, Castleberry Education Foundation, and as an announcer and spotter at IMMS, JV, and Varsity football games.

Mary Lou Martinez, Board Vice President

Mrs. Martinez and her husband Tony have three sons, all CISD graduates. They have 2 grandchildren, currently attending Castleberry Elementary. They are members of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in River Oaks. She is employed by North Texas Area CHC's, Inc. as an Outreach and Enrollment Specialist. She is responsible for helping clients successfully navigate state benefit & Federal programs. Mrs. Martinez is a member of the Castleberry Safety and Security Committee, Hispanic Wellness Coalition, Nuestro Kimbell Committee of the Kimbell Art Museum and District 2 Representative on the CCPD Scoring Committee -of City of Fort Worth.

Cathy Gatica, Board Secretary

Professional photograph of Cathy Gatica, School Board MemberMrs. Gatica was elected to the Castleberry Board of Education in 2013.  Mrs. Gatica and her husband Mark have three sons who are CISD graduates. Attends the OneFaith Church and currently serves on the Praise team. Cathy holds her Bachelor of Science from Texas Wesleyan University and an MBA from Kaplan University.

David Holder, Board Member

portrait photo of David Holder, School Board PresidentMr. Holder was elected to the CISD Board of Education in 2001. Originally from Tennessee, Holder received his bachelor’s degree from Freed-Hardeman University and his master’s degree from David Lipscomb University. He is a senior minister for Castleberry Church of Christ in River Oaks, Texas. Holder also writes and edits Bible curriculum for both adults and children, and with his wife Susan owns and operates a publishing business, Shaping Hearts Publications. Mr. and Mrs. Holder have 3 children, all CISD graduates. Mr. Holder served as CISD Board President for 9 years.

Tracy Gallman, Board Member

portrait photo of Tracy GallmanMrs. Gallman began serving on the Castleberry Board of Education in 2020. Mrs. Gallman graduated from Paschal High School. Mrs. Gallman and her husband Brad have three children, all three CISD graduates. Tracy, is a life-long learner, interior decorator, believer, blogger, wife, mom, grand-mommy, aunt, sister, neighbor, and friend.

Linda Aguillón, Board Member

Ms. Linda Aguillón is a newly elected member of the Castleberry ISD Board of Education. Ms. Aguillón has two children, both CISD graduates and a granddaughter, who currently attends A.V. Cato Elementary. Ms. Aguillón has dedicated the last 23 years to making a positive impact in the field of education, building academic capacity for all students, supporting families, mentoring teachers, and welcoming the challenges of leadership as opportunities to impact lives and student outcomes. She currently serves as the Director of Professional Development for Summit K12. During her career, she spent 5 years serving the students, teachers, and families of CISD as a second-grade teacher and Dual Language Instructional Coach. Linda has a bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education from Texas Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Literacy emphasis from The University of Texas in Arlington.

Ariela Martinez, Board Member

portrait of Ariela MartinezAriela Martinez is a proud Fort Worth native, military spouse, and fervent advocate for education. With a rich background in counseling and leadership, Ariela is dedicated to student success. Ariela serves as an admissions counselor and college access professional where she has served over 2,900 students. Additionally, she contributes her expertise to various local and national scholarship boards and serves as an instructor at Texas Christian University (TCU).
Ariela's dynamic and informed leadership is undeniable. Now in her second term on the school board, she continues to make a significant impact on the educational community. She holds an Associate degree from Tarrant County College (TCC) and both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education from TCU, where she is also pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Ariela is deeply committed to mentoring and guiding youth, generously volunteering her time to help shape the next generation of leaders. Furthermore, she is a strong supporter of teachers and staff, advocating for their professional development and well-being. As a dedicated community bridge, Ariela is focused on strengthening educational experiences and opportunities for all Castleberry ISD students, families, and staff.
Ariela expresses deep gratitude to the educators, mentors, family, and friends who have significantly influenced her journey and molded her into the leader she is today. In her leisure time, Ariela loves to spend time with her incredibly supportive family and friends, enjoying all the bliss in life.
