Castleberry ISD Welcomes Dr. Lacey Padgett as the Executive Director of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation

Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Dr. Lacey Padgett as the district’s new Executive Director of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation. Dr. Lacey Padgett comes to Castleberry ISD from Ennis ISD, where she most recently served as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. With 26 years of educational experience, she has also served as teacher, curriculum specialist, HR director, assistant principal, principal, and School Improvement/Turnaround Leadership Specialist under the direction of the Texas Education Agency.

During her time at Ennis ISD, Dr. Padgett has played an integral part in moving the district from a C (75) to a B (89) with an A (92) in school progress as well as implementing the first ever Dual Language Program for Emerging BIlinguals and new teacher mentoring program.

Dr. Padgett has earned her Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University at Austin, and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University.

Dr. Padgett is married to her husband of almost 26 years, Bruce Padgett, and they have two amazing children, Cailey 23 and Casen 18.

Dr. Padgett is honored to have the opportunity to serve Castleberry ISD and its community as the Executive Director of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation. She is looking forward to working with the students, staff, and the community to ensure growth and success for all students while continuing to build on the great things happening in Castleberry ISD.
