Feb Inclement Weather Closures and Important Information for Families and Employees

Due to inclement weather and hazardous driving conditions, all Castleberry ISD campuses and buses will operate on a two-hour delayed start schedule on Friday, February 25, 2022.

Inclement weather days are built into the Castleberry ISD calendar for this purpose. On Tuesday, May 31, and Wednesday, June 1, students will attend school, and teachers and campus-based employees who work 189 days or less will be required to report to work to make up for two lost days. Graduating senior students will not make up the two days due to graduation. The district is seeking a waiver from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for the third lost day.

The district will continue to monitor weather conditions and will communicate the status of all Friday and Saturday extracurricular activities tomorrow, Friday, February 25.

Castleberry ISD will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and will communicate any updates to our students, families, and employees via the District’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, the District’s website, in addition to local television and newspapers.

Whenever winter weather threatens the North Texas area, Castleberry ISD wants to ensure your family knows the procedure. Stay up-to-date with valuable information on emergency preparations on the district’s Inclement Weather Information page.

Message Sent to Parents Monday, March 7

Due to inclement weather, the district was closed for three days: Thursday, February 3rd, Friday, February 4th, and Thursday February 24th. All students, except graduating seniors, will attend two inclement weather make up days which are indicated on the district calendar. On Tuesday, May 31st and Wednesday, June 1st, students are required to attend school to make up two of the inclement weather days. The district is seeking a waiver from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for the third inclement weather day, so students will not be required to make up the third day.
