Nominations for the Castleberry ISD Acceleration in Math (AIM) Program will be accepted beginning March 21, 2022 through March 25, 2022. Any parent who has a student currently enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grades at Castleberry ISD who feels their child may benefit from services provided through the AIM Program, may nominate their child by completing a parent nomination form.
Eligibility for the AIM assessment is determined by several factors, all of which are academic in nature. Only the top math students in each grade level are invited to test.
Program eligibility is determined by taking the University of Texas Credit by exam test for the next school year. For example, a current 1st grader would take the end of the year 2nd grade test. If a student qualifies, he/she would be enrolled in a 3rd grade math program for the 2022-2023 school year at their home campus. The AIM program, which is only offered for math, allows students to be placed in an academic appropriate class for math. If your child meets the requirements, he/she would be tested in early May, with the results arriving before the end of the school year.
For more information about student eligibility to test, visit the district's AIM web page or contact your child's math teacher. All nomination forms must be submitted by Friday, March 25, 2022 at 5:00 PM.
