Castleberry ISD is Now Hiring Substitute Remote Conferencing Teachers

The Castleberry ISD Board of Education has approved the funding to hire Substitute Remote Conferencing Teachers for kindergarten through sixth grade. This is in response to the Texas Education Agency’s decision to allow local school districts to offer remote conferencing for full funding of students who meet key criteria related to medical conditions. Those that are interested in teaching and supporting eligible students virtually can view the job description and apply online

The Castleberry ISD Remote Conferencing Plan for Kindergarten through 6th grade states students who qualify may attend remote conferencing for a maximum of 20 days for the entire school year.

To qualify, students must meet one of three criteria:

  1. The student has a temporary medical condition documented by a physician licensed in the United States;

  2. The student has a positive test result for COVID-19;

  3. or the student has been identified as having close contact with COVID-19.

Student eligibility for remote conferencing will be determined by the campus Assistant Principal.

Eligible students in kindergarten through fifth grade must be provided instruction synchronously for at least two hours each school day. This means two-way, real-time/live instruction between teachers and students.

Eligible students in sixth grade must receive at least four hours of instruction through synchronous instruction each school day.
