CISD Changes Mask Policy

On May 18, 2021, Governor Abbott issued an Executive Order GA 36 that requires the Texas Education Agency to revise their guidance to reflect the following:

“No governmental entity, including a county, city, school district, and public health authority, and no government official may require any person to wear a face covering or to mandate that another person wear a face covering.”

With this executive order, Castleberry ISD will continue with our current protocols related to face coverings through June 4, 2021. To remain compliant with this order, starting June 5, 2021, face coverings will be optional for students and staff.  Castleberry ISD will continue to encourage un-vaccinated adults to wear face coverings upon entering district facilities. In addition, we encourage all staff members to:

  1. Continue practicing social distancing.

  2. Continue to utilize effective practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work together to keep everyone safe and healthy.  Please be sure to visit our website and all official CISD social media platforms for updates as further guidance is received.
