Schmitt has served the Castleberry Independent School District for the past five years, most recently as Literacy Instructional Coach. Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year is Underway
Castleberry ISD will continue to offer free, full-day pre-kindergarten (pre-K) and kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. Students do not need to live within the school district’s boundaries to attend Castleberry ISD. For the 2024-2025 school year, kindergarteners must be 5 years old, and pre-kindergarteners must be 4 years old as of September 1, 2024.

Mariachi Students Triumphant at State!
Mariachi Los Leones made their second trip to the UIL State Mariachi Festival on February 22nd, held in the beautiful Seguin ISD Performing Arts Center. Several of the state's top mariachis competed over the course of three days with the ultimate goal of giving their best performance to earn the top rating of a UIL First Division. Mariachi Los Leones exceeded expectations by not only earning the top rating of a first division, but they also placed the 2nd highest number of UIL Outstanding Performers among all of the 3A and 4A schools competing!
