Castleberry ISD Welcomes Jennifer Turner

Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Dr. Jennifer Turner as the district’s new Assistant Principal at A.V. Cato Elementary. Jennifer Turner was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas at Carswell Airforce base. Dr. Turner began her career in education for the Department of Defense Schools in Aviano, Italy, where she served as a special education/inclusion teacher. Turner returns to Castleberry ISD from Mansfield ISD where she served as the high school Behavior Specialist for the past year. In addition to her service, she was nominated as teacher of the year three years in a row and implemented the district’s Special Olympics.

Dr. Turner is in her sixth year as a Crisis Prevention Intervention trainer. Jennifer has earned both a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Maryland. She also holds a Doctorate Degree in Adult Education and Higher learning from Walden University.

Dr. Turner enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and spending quality time with her family.
She is blessed with a wonderful husband, Jeff Turner, two children, and a bonus daughter. Sarah, who lives in San Francisco and works with the National Science Foundation. Her son, Triston Pettyjohn, attends The University of North Texas as a history major. Her bonus daughter, Cathryn Turner, is a sophomore in Burleson ISD.

Dr. Turner’s professional goal is to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. She would like to express her gratitude for the opportunity to return to Castleberry ISD and looks forward to growing with her wonderful Castleberry ISD family.
