Castleberry ISD Welcomes Anita Sims Police Officer

Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Anita Sims as a new member of the district’s Police Department who will serve at Castleberry Elementary. Prior to joining the Castleberry ISD Police Department, Officer Sims served in the capacities of Patrol Officer, Public Information Officer, Crimes Victim Liaison and Detective for the Sansom Park, Everman, and Pelican Bay Police Departments.

Officer Sims holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate with nearly 18 years of experience. She has been instrumental in leading city events and created a Crime Watch Program. Helping others has always been her passion.

Her supervisors describe her as being firm but fair, honest, compassionate, loyal, kind, and understanding. She holds herself with the highest quality of integrity and ethics. She believes in equality and that everyone deserves an equal amount of respect. One of her goals has always been bridging the gap of understanding and communication between law enforcement officers and the general public. Officer Sims believes in transparency and being accountable.

Anita Sims was born in Thailand and was raised and lived most of her life in San Antonio, Texas. She moved to the DFW area twenty one years ago. Her husband is a Professional Engineer and graduate of Texas A&M. They have three adult sons (32), (28), (22) and one daughter (9). She enjoys family time and Sunday family dinners. She also loves to garden, fish, and travel.

She is excited about the opportunity and is looking forward to this new chapter in her life. Officer Sims would like to thank Castleberry ISD and the Board of Education for the opportunity to join the Castleberry family.
