Castleberry ISD is pleased to announce the promotion of Charles Gideon as Principal of Castleberry Elementary, effective immediately. Gideon has been with Castleberry ISD since October 2019 serving as Assistant Principal of A.V. Cato Elementary. He began his career in education in Fort Worth ISD where he was a middle school math and science teacher. He served as department head, technology liaison, and an assistant principal intern.
His educational background includes an associate degree from Tarrant County College (TCC), Bachelor’s Degree from University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), and Master’s Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2019, Gideon was recognized as A.V. Cato Elementary’s Energizer of the year.
Gideon and his wife, Megan Rieger, have three children: Lillie (12), Isaac (10), and Kassidy (2). His family enjoys playing soccer, board games, and card games together. Gideon finds great joy in watching his children play soccer. In his spare time, you can find him refereeing soccer games, playing billiards, or running obstacle course races in addition to being an active member of his church.
Gideon is thankful district leadership and the Board of Education have allowed him to continue to have the opportunity to lead in Castleberry ISD. He appreciates how the educational philosophies of district leaders align, and how there is truly a focus on the academic growth of all students, including their social emotional needs, and involvement of all stakeholders in the decision making process.
