Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Melissa Greene as the district’s new Secondary Math Instructional Coach. Greene comes to Castleberry ISD from Cleburne ISD where she served as a math teacher for the past seven years and department chair for the past two years. She began her career in education in Belton ISD where she was a math teacher.
In 2009, Greene earned a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Tarleton State University. She later furthered her education at the University of Texas in Arlington where she earned a Masters Degree in Education.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family traveling and volunteering. Greene has been a Kiwanian and Regional Advisor for the Texas-Oklahoma District of Key Club where she worked with youth and adults. She organizes volunteer events such as working at Tarrant Area Food Bank, the Ronald Mcdonald House Meals from the heart program, and Bags of Hope for youth in need.
Greene considers herself blessed to have worked alongside a secondary math curriculum specialist during her first year teaching, so she knows first hand the importance of instructional coaches for growing and inspiring teachers. Greene is grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, families, and staff of Castleberry ISD and is eager to get started.
