Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Jennifer Monjack as the district’s new Crisis Counselor. Jennifer comes to Castleberry ISD from Innovations by Mesa Springs Partial Hospitalization Program, where she served as a Clinical Program Manager and therapist. A California native, Monjack moved to Texas just over three years ago. She currently resides in rural Johnson County and is proud to call Texas her new home.
Monjack received her bachelor's degree from California State University Long Beach focusing on Family and Consumer Sciences with a double major in Child Development and Family Studies. She earned her Master's degree in Social Work from California State University Northridge. Over the past 15 years, she has gained experience working with all ages ranging from young children to adults. This experience includes case Management for Child Protective services, teaching and program management at the University level, and early intervention and infant mental health specialist for MHMR. Monjack is trained in Trust Based Relationship Intervention and the Pathways program and has also been a Master Coach for the Family Team Meeting approach. Monjack sees her work through a trauma lense and incorporates a holistic approach to meeting the needs of her students.
Monjack has been married to her husband for 14 years. She has a 16 year old son, entering his junior year of high school and an 11 year old daughter who will be entering 6th grade. She is an active volunteer for Girl Scouts at the Service Unit level in Burleson as well as a co- leader for her daughters troop. Monjack loves to travel with her family to Texas State Parks and has a goal to see all of them, hopefully hiking up to Guadalupe Peak one day - in much cooler temperatures!
Monjack’s professional goal is to support all students, their families and their teachers to ensure the best educational outcome possible. Monjack lives by a motto taught to her by her parents: “Get an education. It's the one thing that no one can take away from you.” Monjack would like to thank the Board for the opportunity to support Castleberry students and for the opportunity to support their families and all educators.
