Edgar Pina Named A.V. Cato Elementary Campus Police Officer
Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Edgar Pina as a new member of the district’s police force who will serve at A.V. Cato Elementary. Prior to joining the Castleberry ISD Police Department, Pina was a member of the Richland Hills Police Department where he served the past 12+ years as a police officer and school resource officer at Richland Middle School. He began his career in Law Enforcement in the United States Marine Corps where he served as Military Police and Physical Security Specialist for over 12 years.
Pina was born in McAllen, TX, and grew up in the Northside of Fort Worth in the Diamond Hill neighborhood. He graduated from Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School and then served in the United States Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Sergeant. After his service he continued his career with Richland Hills Police Department and since has received his master peace officer license.
He and his wife, Gabriela Salazar, have five boys ranging from six to 21 years of age. In his free time he enjoys working on his lawn and listening to music. Tejano Music being his favorite.
He is excited to begin this new chapter in his career with Castleberry ISD. He would like to thank the Board of Education for this opportunity.
