Back to School Guide 2023-2024

Castleberry ISD welcomes students back for the 2023-2024 school year on Wednesday, August 9. The information included in this guide is designed to help parents and students prepare for a successful start to the new school year. 

Castleberry ISD Transitions to ParentSquare to Streamline Communication

Castleberry ISD is excited to share the district is transitioning to a different communication platform called ParentSquare. This unified communication platform is designed to engage every family with school communication and communication-based services—from the district office, campus principal, and teacher—all in one place. The platform offers a whole host of tools that allow the district, school administrators, and teachers to communicate more effectively with families.  

Dr. Mark Anthony Page Named Assistant Principal at CHS

Castleberry ISD welcomes Dr. Mark Anthony Page as the newest Assistant Principal at Castleberry High School. Dr. Page joins Castleberry ISD from Killeen ISD where he served as an assistant principal for the past year. He started his career in education 17 years ago as a high school speech teacher and coach in Gainesville ISD. 

Jenny Royer Named Elementary Math Instructional Coach

Castleberry ISD welcomes Jenny Royer as the district’s new Elementary Math Instructional Coach. Royer joins Castleberry ISD from Amphitheater School District in Arizona where she served as an Assistant Principal for five years. She started her career in education 20 years ago as a fourth grade teacher in Jordan School District. 

Haley Reynolds Named Secondary RLA Instructional Coach

Castleberry ISD welcomes Haley Reynolds as the district’s new RLA Instructional Coach. Reynolds joins Castleberry ISD from Fort Worth ISD where she served as a secondary English Language Arts teacher and department leader for the past three years. She started her career in education 10 years ago in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD where she was first an English teacher at the high school level and later an English teacher and AVID site coordinator at the middle school level. 

Michelle Owen Promoted to CTE Instructional Coach

Castleberry ISD is thrilled to announce the promotion of Michelle Owen as the district’s first CTE Instructional Coach. Ms. Owen has served the Castleberry Independent School District for the past three years with the CTE team teaching business. Prior to joining Castleberry ISD, she started her career in education in Fort Worth ISD as a CTE teacher for three years. 

Morgan Long Named Literacy Instructional Coach

Castleberry ISD welcomes Morgan Long back as the district’s next Literacy Instructional Coach. Long returns to Castleberry ISD from Fort Worth ISD where she served as a Student Success Specialist for the past two years. She started her career in education 10 years ago as an ESL teacher in China. 

Diane Burnett Named Special Education Coordinator

Castleberry ISD welcomes Diane Burnett as the district’s next Special Education Coordinator. Burnett joins Castleberry ISD from Alvarado ISD where she served as the Director of Special Education for the past three years. She started her career in education thirty years ago as a special education teacher in Wisconsin.
