Castleberry ISD welcomes Christina Jarvis as the district’s newest Innovation Leader. Jarvis joins Castleberry ISD from Carroll ISD where she has served as an Instructional Technology Specialist for a year. She started her career in education 25 years ago as a special education teacher in Fort Worth ISD.
Jarvis is a proud native of Fort Worth, Texas, and returned after earning her B.A. psychology/sociology from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She began working with children in therapeutic settings before becoming a classroom teacher. As a leader in technology, she is a Google Certified Educator and regularly pursues certifications from digital platforms and organizations like TCEA.
During her professional journey, Jarvis has assumed leadership roles across multiple districts. She served as a science teacher and department chair in Title I schools within both Mansfield and Birdville ISD. Her track record encompasses 12 innovative teaching grants and active participation in curriculum writing committees. Her dedication was recognized when she was named Teacher of the Year at North Oaks Middle School. Later she supported professional learning communities as an Academic Coach for three years before transitioning into instructional technology.
Her leisure time is dedicated to her love for the arts, quality time with her dog Dexter, and exploring new restaurants. She lives with her husband of 12 years, Randell, and enjoys getting to visit his daughter, Tyler.
Her professional goals are deeply rooted in the principles of the 4C's: Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity. She is driven by the mission of leveraging technology to empower both students and teachers, fostering an environment of innovation and growth. Jarvis is highly inspired by the district's vision and looks forward to partnering with the teachers and staff in Castleberry. She would like to express her gratitude to the Board for granting her the opportunity to join this dynamic team.
