Castleberry ISD district administration accepted the resignation of Karelyn Roberts, principal of Irma Marsh Middle School, effective at the end of her current contract. The district thanks Mrs. Roberts for her years of service to Castleberry ISD and wishes her well in her future endeavors.

The district is dedicated to ensuring all IMMS employees, students, and parents are taken care of while district administration conducts interviews for the next principal. Kerissa Bearce will serve as Interim Principal of Irma Marsh Middle School to help ensure a smooth transition.

Kerissa Bearce is a 15 year educator, currently serving as assistant principal at Irma Marsh Middle School. She began her journey by teaching in New Tech Network schools at Akins New Tech High School and Eastside Memorial Green Tech High School, which were Project Based Learning (PBL) schools. After obtaining her Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Texas State University in 2011, she began working for the New Tech Network as a School Development Coach. She moved back to Fort Worth and worked for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, serving as the Lead for Elementary Instructional Technology.

After deciding to move into administration, she obtained her Principal Certification from Stephen F. Austin State University and began working as an assistant principal at Irma Marsh Middle School, her alma mater, where she has been for the past 3 years.

She is thrilled to be serving in the community that she grew up in and is looking forward to the opportunity to strengthen connections between the school and community.
