Dr. Tina Alvarado Named CISD Intermediate Humanities Coordinator
Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Dr. Tina Alvarado as the district’s new Intermediate Humanities Coordinator. Dr. Alvarado comes to CISD from Graford ISD where she served as an administrator for the past 2 years. Her career started in education as an elementary teacher where she taught for eight years in grades 2nd - 5th before moving into administration. Previously, Dr. Alvarado has been an assistant principal, district Response to Intervention (RtI) coordinator, district elementary curriculum coordinator, principal, and district Special Populations coordinator.
Dr. Alvarado is a native Texan that grew up in Mineral Wells. She received her Bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University, Master's degree from Texas Woman's University, and Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Early Childhood Education and Development from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. Dr. Alvarado has presented at several conferences on RtI and Effective Feedback.
She lives with her husband, Jack and their dogs that bring joy and happiness to her life. She is a runner that has completed several races and her goal is to complete a marathon in the near future.
Alvarado’s true passion is helping teachers grow and learn so ALL students are successful. As the Intermediate Humanities Coordinator, Dr. Alvarado will work with teachers in grades 3-6, allowing her the opportunity to coach and grow teacher capacity within Castleberry ISD.
