Dr. Amber Picasso Named CISD Special Programs Coordinator
Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Dr. Amber Picasso as the district’s new Special Programs Coordinator. Dr. Picasso comes to CISD from Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD where she served as an educational diagnostician for the past seven years, with the last two of those years in the role of lead educational diagnostician for the district. She began her educational career teaching for nine years at Acton Elementary in Granbury ISD.
Dr. Picasso has earned her doctoral degree in educational leadership, master’s degree as a reading specialist, and bachelor’s degree in curriculum and instruction all from Tarleton State University. A proud TSU alumni, her blood bleeds purple. In 2014 she completed a post-master's program for her educational diagnostician certification.
In her spare time, Dr. Picasso enjoys reading or listening to true crime podcasts. She has been married to her husband for nine years, and the two have three dogs and one cat to keep them busy.
Like a majority of her educational colleagues, Dr. Picasso is a life-long learner. Her goals are to help foster a culture of excellence and inspire others to exceed their potential. She is honored to serve as the new Special Services Coordinator at Castleberry ISD.
