Backpacks

If a student chooses to carry a backpack, it must be clear. This requirement applies to all students attending Castleberry ISD.

For the purpose of this policy, the term backpack includes any bag worn or carried by a student that is larger than 10 inches x 7 inches x 4 inches. This includes, but is not limited to, traditional backpacks, sling bags, messenger bags, and oversized purses.

Bags must comply with the guidelines below:

Students who arrive on campus with a non-compliant bag may be asked to store it in a designated location or return it to their home.

• Bags must be made of clear, transparent material.
• All contents must be fully visible from all angles while being worn or carried.
• A small logo is permitted; however, it must not obstruct the visibility of the bag’s contents.
• Large logos, monograms, patterns, or any other visual obstructions are not allowed.
• Mesh backpacks and rolling backpacks are not permitted.
