Arrival Procedures
Doors open for students at 7:30 AM. Students may not enter the building and will not be supervised when on building property, if they arrive before 7:30 AM.
Students eating breakfast should report directly to the cafeteria. All other students will wait in [designated location(s)] until [time].
Instruction begins at 8 AM. Students arriving after 8 AM must follow the campus late-arrival procedures.
Late Arrivals
Absences and Attendance Notes
Parents and guardians may report an absence through ParentSquare or by contacting the campus attendance clerk. Documentation must be submitted within three days after the student returns to school.

Early Pickups
Parents and guardians who need to pick up a student before the scheduled dismissal should report to the main office and bring a valid photo ID. Students will only be released to individuals listed as authorized contacts in Skyward.
Early pickups must be completed before 3:10 PM to help keep dismissal safe and efficient.
Dismissal Procedures
At the end of the instructional day, students will leave campus using their approved transportation method or report to a scheduled school activity, including athletics, fine arts, clubs, tutoring or the ACE Afterschool Program.
Transportation changes must be submitted by [cutoff time] through [approved method]. Changes received after the cutoff may not be accommodated.
Car riders are picked up from [location], bus riders report to [location], and walkers or bike riders are released from [location]. Students participating in a school-sponsored activity should report directly to the location designated by their coach, sponsor or program leader. Students enrolled in ACE should report to [ACE meeting location].
Students who are not picked up by [time] and are not participating in a scheduled activity will be taken to [designated location]. A parent, guardian or authorized contact may be required to present a valid photo ID before the student is released. Families should follow staff directions and campus traffic procedures to help dismissal remain safe and efficient.

Report Bullying or Safety Concerns
Students, parents, and guardians may anonymously report bullying or other safety concerns through the STOPit reporting platform. Additional information about reporting bullying, safety concerns and other issues is available on the district’s Reporting Concerns page.

Prohibited Items (Tobacco, E-Cigarettes, Weapons)
The District prohibits smoking and the use of tobacco products and e-cigarettes on District property, in District vehicles, or at school-related activities. The District prohibits the unlawful use, possession, or display of any firearm, location-restricted knife, club, or prohibited weapon, as defined at FNCG, on all District property at all times.
No violation of this policy occurs when:

A Texas handgun license holder stores a handgun or other firearm in a locked vehicle in a parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area provided by the District, as long as the handgun or other firearm is not in plain view; or

The use, possession, or display of an otherwise prohibited weapon takes place as part of a District-approved activity supervised by proper authorities. [See FOD(LEGAL)]
Refusal of Entry or Ejection
Access to District Property
Authorized District officials, including school resource officers and District police officers if applicable, may refuse to allow a person access to property under the District's control in accordance with law.
District officials may request assistance from law enforcement in an emergency or when a person is engaging in behavior rising to the level of criminal conduct.
Ejection or Exclusion
In accordance with Education Code 37.105, a District official shall provide a person refused entry to or ejected from property under the District's control written information explaining the right to appeal such refusal of entry or ejection under the District's grievance process. A person appealing under the District's grievance process shall be permitted to address the Board in person within 90 calendar days of filing the initial complaint, unless the complaint is resolved before the Board considers it. Castleberry ISD participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows the district to provide breakfast and lunch to all students at no charge. Information about menus, guest meal prices, à la carte items, student meal accounts and other nutrition services is available on the Child Nutrition page.

Lunch Drop-Off Procedures
A parent or guardian may drop off a lunch for their student who forgot a meal or for a special occasion. The lunch must:
- Be labeled with the student’s first and last name.
- Be delivered by the student's parent/guardian before the student’s scheduled lunch period.
- Be communicated to the student in advance.
Campus staff will not interrupt instruction or notify students about surprise lunch deliveries. Unclaimed food will be discarded at the end of the school day.
The campus may discontinue lunch drop-offs if they interfere with front office operations.
