While there is much to celebrate, Castleberry ISD remains focused on continuous growth and student success. This school year, several strategic initiatives have already been implemented to build on our progress.

In May, the School Board adopted a Resolution Prioritizing Literacy, committing to the Science of Teaching Reading. This initiative ensures that every student masters foundational literacy skills by 3rd grade and reads “on grade level” before 4th grade.

In addition, the district is implementing a Strategic Compensation Plan to continue to combat educator turnover and provide competitive pay to attract and retain both experienced teachers and principals. Currently, 30 teachers have earned designations through the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), with opportunities available for more educators to qualify in the coming years.

This year, student-led conferences are scheduled for October 27th and have been built into the academic calendar to ensure full participation. During these conferences, students will go beyond report card grades to present their academic goals, reflect on their progress, and share key data with their families including STAAR results, graduation plans, and their personalized roadmap to college and career pathways. Our T-3 College and Castleberry Advisory Team will also be on hand to support future planning conversations and guide families through important steps such as college test preparation and financial aid opportunities.

We are also proud to announce that continued grant funding will once again provide after-school homework assistance, tutoring, enrichment activities, and Saturday and Summer Programming. These accelerated learning opportunities are designed to help every student reach their full potential by providing the tools, time, and encouragement they need to succeed.

And finally, Castleberry ISD is proud to have launched its new Early College High School, a school within a school model, designed for students pursuing careers in cybersecurity and other emerging technologies. This innovative program currently serves 50 students who are earning dual credit while working toward both a Level 1 Certificate in Cybersecurity and an Associate’s Degree by the time they graduate high school. This opportunity provides a powerful head start on college and high-demand career pathways in Tarrant County.

Castleberry ISD continues to chart a bold course toward Destination Success because when we invest in every child, the future takes flight.
