Castleberry ISD Students Commit to the Classroom at First-Ever Tarrant County Future Educator Signing Day

Fort Worth, TX – Castleberry ISD proudly participated in the inaugural Tarrant County Future Educator Signing Day, hosted by the REV Partnership at the Tarleton State University Fort Worth Campus. This event celebrated high school juniors and seniors enrolled in the Education & Training CTE pathway who have committed to exploring careers in education—marking a bold step in growing the region’s future teacher pipeline.

The event brought together school districts from across Tarrant County to recognize students who have demonstrated a passion for teaching through their participation in hands-on training, coursework, and field experience. Students took the stage to be formally honored, signed a ceremonial banner, and received keepsakes to commemorate the moment. Castleberry ISD students stood proudly among the honorees, supported by district leaders, educators, and peers.

Among those recognized was Castleberry High School junior Cheyenne R., who shared why the event was important to her.

"I really enjoyed getting the little pin and signing the poster," Cheyenne said. "I made a commitment to do something with my life in the future that will really impact people."

Castleberry ISD Director of Career & Technology Education and CCMR, Stephanie Martinez, highlighted the long-term vision behind this moment.

"This isn’t just a signing day—it’s a declaration of purpose. We are not waiting until college to support the teacher pipeline. We are building our future educators now, intentionally and strategically, through hands-on training, mentorship, and aligned curriculum."

Events like this underscore the district’s commitment to addressing the statewide teacher shortage—not by reacting, but by proactively developing future educators through career pathways, dual credit coursework, and strong partnerships with organizations like REV and institutions like Tarleton State.

The future of education depends on bold, compassionate leaders—and Castleberry students are already stepping up.
