Castleberry Independent School District is proud to announce that four campuses have been recognized in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s 2025 DFW Favorites competition—earning top honors across multiple categories for the second consecutive year.
Castleberry Elementary and Irma Marsh Middle School each secured the Gold title in their respective school categories, once again being named Best Elementary School and Best Middle School in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. These back-to-back victories reflect the enduring excellence, strong campus culture, and community trust that define these schools.
Also earning accolades this year are Castleberry High School, which received Silver in the High School category, and A.V. Cato Elementary, which took home Silver in the Elementary School category and Bronze for their ACE Out of School Time Program in the Education/Tutoring Service category.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s DFW Favorites competition celebrates the region’s top businesses, organizations, and community contributors. With tens of thousands of votes cast each year, these awards are a testament to both popularity and impact within the community.
Irma Marsh Middle School’s “You Belong Here” philosophy continues to resonate with students, staff, and families, fostering a sense of belonging that extends beyond the classroom. Castleberry Elementary, widely known for its nurturing, family-like atmosphere, continues to set the standard for student-centered learning in the DFW area.
The DFW Favorites campaign is promoted through a robust, multi-platform marketing effort—including digital, print, outdoor, and social media advertising—reaching thousands across the region and elevating the visibility of winners in each category. This year's contest included over 5,700 entries across 288 categories. In addition to a 52% increase in voter participation.
These recognitions would not be possible without the continued support of families, staff, and the broader Castleberry ISD community. They underscore how a supportive community shapes the future for all learners.
