Dear Castleberry ISD,

After consulting with Tarrant County Public Health and following the guidance issued by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Castleberry Leadership has decided to extend Castleberry ISD’s Spring Break for at least two weeks. At this time, all schools will be closed to students until Monday, April 6th.

We know that closing schools will present challenges to many of our CISD families. However, we feel the risk of contracting COVID-19 is far greater to children, family members, or employees who have underlying health conditions.

At this time, school administrators and teachers will continue to work and serve the children during the extended time frame.

All travel and extracurricular events for both staff and students have been cancelled during this time frame.

This is an evolving situation, so Castleberry ISD Leadership will continue to meet next week to ensure the district continues to provide educational services during this national health crisis.

CISD will continue to monitor the impact of the Coronavirus the next few days. For continuous updates, please follow the CISD’s official website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. If you have not opted in to our School Alerts System, please do so by texting YES to 675-87 to receive newly released updates.
