The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released the 2026 A–F Accountability Ratings for school districts and campuses across the state.

Castleberry ISD earned an overall accountability rating of 88 (B), a seven-point increase from 2025.

The district also saw strong performance at the secondary level, with Irma Marsh Middle School, Castleberry High School, and REACH High School all earning A ratings. 

Texas’ A–F Accountability system evaluates districts and campuses across three areas: Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps. Student Achievement looks at student performance and readiness for what comes next, while School Progress considers year-to-year academic growth and performance compared with similar schools. Closing the Gaps measures how well districts and campuses are supporting success among all student groups.

Castleberry ISD earned the following 2026 district scores:

• Overall Rating: 88 (B)
• Student Achievement: 81
• School Progress
  • Academic Growth: 82
  • Relative Performance: 88
• Closing the Gaps: 87

Campus Ratings

Each Castleberry ISD campus also received an individual 2026 accountability rating:

Year-over-year gains were led by Irma Marsh Middle School, which increased 10 points, followed by seven-point increases at A.V. Cato Elementary and Castleberry High School and a two-point increase at Castleberry Elementary.

Three Secondary Campuses. Three A Ratings.

REACH High School earned the district’s highest campus score with a 96, while Irma Marsh Middle School and Castleberry High School each earned a 90.

Together, that means all three of Castleberry ISD’s secondary campuses received the state’s highest letter grade: an A.

Academic Distinctions

Castleberry ISD campuses also earned academic distinctions, which are awarded to campuses that outperform other schools in their respective comparison groups¹. 

A.V. Cato Elementary earned distinctions for:

• Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth
• Top 25% Comparative Closing the Gaps

Castleberry Elementary earned distinctions for:

• Academic Achievement in Reading Language Arts
• Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth

Irma Marsh Middle School earned distinctions for:

• Academic Achievement in Reading Language Arts
• Academic Achievement in Mathematics
• Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth
• Top 25% Comparative Closing the Gaps
• Postsecondary Readiness

Castleberry High School earned a distinction for:

• Postsecondary Readiness

¹Comparison groups: TEA assigns each campus to a unique comparison group made up of 40 other Texas campuses. Those campuses are selected based on school type and similarities in grade levels served, enrollment size, percentage of economically disadvantaged students, mobility rate, percentage of emergent bilingual students/English learners, percentage of students receiving special education services, and percentage of students enrolled in an early college high school program.
