Castleberry ISD welcomes Ginny Blickenstaff as the new Child Nutrition Director. With over 20 years of experience in education and nutrition services, Blickenstaff joins the district to lead a high-performing team dedicated to an exceptional student experience.

Castleberry ISD's Acceleration in Math (AIM) program supports eligible K-5 students ready to advance beyond grade-level math. Parents may nominate their child by February 27, 2026. Qualified students will test in April for possible grade-level acceleration. Learn more and apply online.

Residents living within Castleberry ISD boundaries interested in running for School Board Place 1 or 2 may submit application packets starting Jan. 14, 2026. Applications must be filed by 5 PM on Feb. 13, 2026. There is no filing fee to run for a position on the Board of Trustees.

Castleberry ISD has been recognized in Texas School Business 2025–2026 Bragging Rights issue. A.V. Cato Elementary’s partnership with Girls Inc. brings a STEM-focused program into the regular school day, giving students increased access to hands-on coding and STEM learning.

Castleberry alum Devontae Lacasse ('20) returned as a Dartmouth admissions officer to guide seniors on the college process. He shared insights on finding the right fit, telling your story, and aiming high— inspiring students to explore opportunities beyond Texas.

Superintendent Smith-Faulkner Announces ‘B’ Rating and Districtwide Achievements for Castleberry ISD
Castleberry ISD kept its ‘B’ rating in the 2024–25 A–F Accountability Ratings, with all campuses in good standing. The district celebrates TEA Distinctions, academic growth, and new initiatives like Early College High School, literacy focus, and more.

Dr. Jennifer Garcia joins Castleberry ISD as the new secondary ELA content coordinator. With 13 years of experience and a doctorate in organizational leadership, she brings a passion for literacy, mentorship, and teacher support from her role at ESC Region 11.

Castleberry ISD’s 2025–26 Compensation Plan includes $4K–$8K raises for teachers via HB 2, expanded performance pay, updated RN salaries, stackable degree stipends, attendance incentives, and tiered longevity bonuses.
