A message to families

Castleberry ISD is monitoring the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Tarrant County Health Department reports on the coronavirus. As preventative measures, the Castleberry ISD staff has and will continue to sanitize all classrooms, restrooms, athletic facilities, and buses.

The coronavirus is believed to be spread through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It is also possible to acquire the virus by touching contaminated objects or surfaces and then touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. This is the same way colds, the flu, and other respiratory viruses are spread. Symptoms can include a fever, cough, and/or difficulty breathing and usually appear within 2 to 14 days after exposure.

The health and safety of our students, staff, and family members are a top priority at Castleberry ISD. While new infectious diseases can be scary, our teachers, nurses, and staff diligently utilize and encourage everyday actions that are effective at preventing the spread of communicable diseases such as COVID-19 (coronavirus). Thank you for your support as we work to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.

Everyday actions you can take

  • Cover your nose and mouth with an absorbent surface like the inside of your elbow or a tissue. Throw disposable materials in the trash immediately after use.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
