The Castleberry ISD Career and Technical Education Department is dedicated to fostering students' imagination while emphasizing career and internship opportunities. We integrate and apply rigorous program standards and hands-on experiences to prepare our students for successful careers. Our approach involves maintaining an open line of communication with community members who work in various industries, making them accessible resources for our students' career development. In close collaboration with our advisory board, the CTE Department focuses on creating and aligning rigorous standards that empower our graduates to excel in internships and embark on thriving careers in a dynamic global society.
The goals of the board are to:
1.) Collaborate with the District to develop both short and long-term plans for Career and Technical Education programs that effectively meet the needs of our students and CISD community.
2.) Inform the District about the current job demands and the pertinence of Career and Technical Education programs and courses offered, ensuring they align with the aspirations of our student population.
3.) Create a platform for recommending resources and training to enable Career and Technical Education to fulfill its mission of preparing students for successful careers.
4.) Motivate students to pursue further education and career preparation beyond high school by providing scholarships to outstanding individuals from the community.
5.) Foster increased political and community support for vocational education, recognizing its critical role in equipping our CISD students to thrive in their future careers.
