Online or In-Person Learning Commitment Survey

Castleberry ISD will open with remote learning for all students beginning Wednesday, August 12th, 2020. The Castleberry ISD Board of Education will meet Monday, August 3rd to establish a new date in September in which in-person learning will begin and to ensure compliance with the new TEA guidelines released earlier this week.
In addition, TEA guidelines outline that parents make a commitment to either in-person or remote learning ten days prior to the first day of school. CISD is requiring your final commitment, so we may plan for a smooth reentry into both in-person and remote learning environments once CISD is able to provide both options in September.
Complete this survey indicating the instructional delivery method you would like your student(s) to attend by Wednesday, August 5th, 2020. By completing your commitment form, this will ensure CISD will be able to allocate teachers and resources for a smooth transition back to school whether you decide in-person or remote instruction for your child in September.

2020-2021 Update- Remote Instruction
For many weeks now, CISD has strategically considered various options on how we would begin the school year in an everchanging environment of our county, state, and nation as it relates to the spread of COVID-19. In accordance with Judge Whitley’s order which was issued today, CISD will adhere to such order, which means our district will begin the school year delivering instruction remotely beginning on August 12, 2020, through September 27, 2020.

2020-21 School Calendar - Revised
The Texas Education Agency has shared that the 2021 School Year is likely to include short-term disruptions to instruction due to COVID-19 outbreaks. Therefore, TEA has challenged school districts to create a school calendar with intersessional breaks in case there is a need to stop the spread of the virus.

Message from Superintendent of Schools, As many of you know, due to inclement weather experienced on June 19, 2020, CISD was forced to cancel the graduation at Texas Motor Speedway. In order to give the Class of 2020 another opportunity to experience a graduation ceremony, CISD has determined that rescheduling this event would be better suited to take place on July 17, 2020, at 8:00 p.m. at W.O. Barnes Stadium.
