To support the mission of the Technology Department, Instructional
Technologists provide assistance to teachers and the curriculum department
as technology is integrated into core subjects. Developing technology
curriculum based upon the TEKS for technology is a major focus. To provide
the framework to implement this curriculum, Instructional Technologists
provide services such as scheduling lab times throughout the district,
maintaining network logon accounts for staff and students, planning and
conducting staff training, mentoring teachers with technology integration
and electronic administrative duties, maintaining and/or publishing
websites, and creating electronic grade books for all teachers and subjects.
Finally, when staff questions arise concerning software use questions, the
Instructional Technologists provide just-in-time assistance and training.
