Volunteer Opportunities for Castleberry Elementary Library
All school volunteers must register with the Castleberry Elementary School Volunteer Coordinator, Mrs. Kenia Vargas.  Volunteers must pass a background check.

One Event Volunteer Projects

Adopt-a-Shelf: Volunteers will keep one assigned section of books neat and in order.  Time commitment: 1 hour per session.

Book Cleaner:  Volunteer will sanitize library books by wiping them with antiseptic wipes.  Time commitment: 2 hours per cleaning session.

Book Mender: Volunteer will identify and mend library books.  Time commitment: 2 hours per mending session.

Back-to-School Library Helper: Volunteer will design and create identification name badges for all kindergarten students.

Back-to-School Library Helper: Volunteer will design and create a door decoration for the library doors.

Back-to-School Library Helper:  Volunteer will assist in creating library cards for all students.

Family Night Assistant: Volunteer will assist at Family Night book walk.  Time commitment: 3 hours.

Library Christmas Elf:  Volunteer will assemble the library's Christmas tree and decorate it with lights.
Time commitment: 1-2 hours.

Library Christmas Elf: Volunteer will dismantle the library's Christmas tree and place it in storage. Time commitment: 1-2 hours.

Library Christmas Elf: Volunteer will deliver the socks from the Christmas tree to a local charity.  Time commitment: 1-2 hours.

Continuing Volunteer Opportunities:

Accelerated Reader Store Assistant:  Volunteer opens the AR Store, greets students and helps them select reading prizes.  Time commitment: 2 hours weekly.

Library Circulation Assistant:  Volunteer assists students checking out books.  Time commitment: variable.
