On December 17, 2018, the Castleberry ISD Board of Education voted unanimously to spend $25 million for additions and renovations at Irma Marsh Middle School. This money will come from our fund balance, which means the project is being completely paid for through the district's resources and not by issuing bonds. The Board of Education and CISD administrators have worked hard to be good stewards of the community's tax dollars with the intention of investing in the students and staff they proudly serve each day.

The Irma Marsh Middle School construction project began last December during the winter break. Additions and renovations that will develop over time include new front office space providing more effective access for both students and parents, a new second-floor library featuring innovative practices and open work spaces, a new classroom wing with new science labs, along with current classroom renovations, and an additional fine arts wing for our band, choir, and mariachi programs.

As new sections of the project are constructed and existing spaces are renovated, CISD will maintain and reinforce all safety and security measures both inside and outside the buildings. These are exciting times for Castleberry ISD and for the communities we serve. The district will regularly publish this newsletter to keep all citizens informed about the project as it unfolds. Thank you for your continued support of Castleberry ISD students and staff. Go Lions!
