portrait of Superintendent RamosThis morning CISD was informed of a threat appearing on social media which caused our district to take precautionary measures by placing our high school in lockdown for a short period of time. Through the coordinated efforts between Castleberry ISD and the River Oaks Police Department, we were able to identify a high school student who was responsible for the false threat. CISD campuses are places to learn and all precautions are being taken to keep them safe and secure each and every day. We ask that parents talk to their children and remind them that any student who violates laws at school will not only be subject to disciplinary action as stated in CISD policies, but may also be subject to legal action. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we will continue to work with our parents, local agencies, and the community to ensure our students have a safe and secure environment where learning can occur.
