Castleberry ISD Welcomes Deborah Aspegren

Castleberry ISD is excited to announce Deborah Aspegren as the district’s new Assistant Principal at Castleberry High School. Deborah Aspegren comes to Castleberry ISD from Fort Worth ISD where she served as an Assistant Principal for the past eight years. She began her career in education in White Settlement where she was a 7th grade math teacher and department leader for two years.

Deborah studied at Austin Peay State University at Clarksville, Tennessee before earning her Bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas in 2005. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012. Aspegren enjoys being a life-long learner. A few of her favorite authors are John Maxwell and Jon Gordon.

Deborah is raising her grandson Bryden who is going into fourth grade. She loves to ride her bike in the mornings before work, in addition to participating in Body Pump and Body Combat classes. Being in nature and spending time with God brings her peace.

Deborah believes that all students are capable of learning. She has high expectations for herself as well as others. Aspegren believes a growth and inclusive mindset helps children develop into successful adults. She believes one’s present circumstances are not an indicator of potential and do not determine one’s destination. Deborah feels blessed and is thankful to the Board for this opportunity to join Castleberry ISD where she can continue to grow and help students succeed.
