Counseling Responsibilities
Guidance- Go into classrooms and teach various skills each six weeks following the district scope and sequence.
Responsive Services- Address academic concerns, attendance, tardiness, misbehavior, relationship concerns, abuse, grief and loss, substance abuse, family issues, harassment issues, self-esteem, self awareness, and coping with stress.
Individual Planning- Career and educational planning with emphasis on study skills, course selections, and helping students become more aware of educational opportunities.
System Support- Teacher consultations, staff development, community outreach, school improvement planning, and parent involvement.
