The Castleberry ISD Board of Education is honored to lead CISD's Military Appreciation Night on Friday, September 8th. This year, the district is expanding Military Appreciation activities to include both the CHS Varsity Volleyball game and Varsity Football game.

The Castleberry Athletic Booster Club (CABC) will kick off the evening's activities with an early BBQ dinner for Veterans and current members of the military and their families in the CHS Cafeteria at 5:00 p.m. The Varsity Volleyball game versus Diamond Hill begins at 4:30 p.m. in the CHS Competition Gym. Immediately following the Varsity game, the CISD Board of Education members will lead a ceremony on the court which recognizes members of the individual branches of the Military.

The CABC will also host a dinner for veterans and current members of the military and their families prior to the Varsity Football game. This meal will be served at 6:00 p.m. in the alleyway between the CHS North Gym and the CTE Building. The CHS Varsity Football game versus Ferris High School kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at W. O. Barnes Stadium. Everyone is encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the CHS Marching Band's pre-game performance and the United States Navy Color Guard as they present the colors for the playing of the National Anthem. During halftime, the CISD Board of Education members will once again lead a recognition ceremony to honor and recognize our Military Veterans. Past and current members of the military are encourage to join the board members on the football field during the ceremony.
