Professional Background
Dave Daniel is in his 5th year as Director of Bands at
Castleberry High School and his 17th year as a director in the Castleberry
ISD. Mr. Daniel holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Education
from Texas Christian University and is in his 21st year of teaching
instrumental music in Texas. During his graduate studies at TCU, Mr.
Daniel served as a Graduate Assistant Band Director and studied music theory
and arranging from Professor Curtis Wilson. Mr. Daniel conducts the
Wind Ensemble, directs the Lion Marching Band and oversees the daily
operation of the band program. As Director of Bands, the Lion Marching
Band has consistently received 1st division ratings at UIL Region Marching
Contest and Invitational Competitions; as well as competing at the UIL State
Marching Contest in 2004. The Wind Ensemble has also consistently
received 1st division ratings at UIL Region Concert & Sight Reading Contest
and Invitational Festivals throughout the United States. In addition,
the Wind Ensemble has been a ATSSB Outstanding Performance Series State
Finalist 3 times; as well as a TMEA Class 3A State Honor Band Finalist
in 2004 and 2006. Mr. Daniel is a member of TMEA, ATSSB, TBA, TMAA,
Kappa Kappa Psi, and ATPE.
